Friends, this is our moment to rise up for an America that includes everyone when we say "liberty and justice for all," not just the wealthy and powerful. The strength of people power is unstoppable—together, we can and will make a difference.
Here’s How We Stand Up to Fascism
Fascism does not arrive with fanfare; it creeps in through the shadows of apathy and the silence of good people who choose inaction. History warns us that tyranny thrives not only because of its loudest supporters but because of those who look away, trusting that someone else will act. This pattern has repeated itself throughout history, but we have the power to stop it.
Despite Donald Trump's presidency, let's be clear: he is no leader. Nearly 80% of people who call America home did not vote for him, and we cannot let his regime define us.
This is our moment to build a resilient and inclusive movement capable of resisting the ambitions of the wealthy, powerful, and privileged few who seek to strangle our democracy.
The Freedom Over Fascism pledge was created to honor those who have sacrificed for our rights and freedoms and to remind each of us that we all have a role to play in defending democracy.
When leaders betray the will of the people, we do not stay silent.
We expose corruption.
We confront deception.
And we organize—relentlessly—until liberty and justice belong to everyone, not just the wealthy and powerful.

I will not look away while members of my community are harmed, kidnapped, shackled despite their innocence, or denied the chance to live and thrive.
I will not be silent when reporters are threatened, arrested, or locked away simply for doing their jobs and telling the truth.
I will not accept corruption disguised as leadership—where power is abused to intimidate, punish, or threaten political enemies instead of serving the people.
I will not accept a nation that trades kindness for cruelty or respect for hatred.
I will not ignore injustice unfolding around me.
I will not be complicit in a system that abandons freedom for inequality—where a few rise while many are pushed down.
I will not pretend this is someone else’s responsibility.
I will hold leaders accountable.
And when they refuse to serve the people, I will volunteer, donate to, and vote to replace them with leaders who will.
I will not live under tyranny disguised as governance.
I will not make excuses for injustice.
I will not accept lies in place of truth, propaganda in place of science, or power in place of service.
I will not look the other way.
I believe change is possible—and I will be part of it.
Because real freedom demands more than words.
It demands unity.
It demands courage.
It demands action.
We must stand together to champion laws and systems that protect every member of our communities.
The time of fighting only for “my issue” is over.
Our strength is in solidarity.
Our future is in shared purpose.
When we stand for one another, we all rise.
And I will always speak out—clearly and unapologetically—against
racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, antisemitism, homophobia, misogyny, sexism, ageism, ableism, sizeism, elitism, transphobia, misogynoir, and every form of bigotry that divides or diminishes our humanity.
Freedom over fascism.
Power to the people.

Our group is growing by leaps and bounds! Folks understand that with love in our hearts and hard work, we will reclaim our nation from cruelty, chaos, and confusion. We are having fun making impactful changes in our community! In case you missed it, this past week was busy:
People Power United joins coalition efforts to push for a halt to handing blank checks to ICE
People Power United joined an Amicus brief for an upcoming case at the Supreme Court
People Power United members signed on to several petitions and letters to Members of Congress advocating for progress and Power to the People
