📢 Celebrating Milestone: 200,000 Members Strong Together
🗽The power of the people is stronger than the people in power!
Good Afternoon to all my rowdy friends!
Today, I want to focus on us and our incredible journey together. But first, a quick note: I’m working on a follow-up post about the Supreme Court’s recent actions, which will be our topic for tomorrow.
Let’s start by celebrating a milestone: People Power United now has nearly 200,000 dedicated members who have collectively taken millions of actions to drive progress in our communities. Your energy and commitment are nothing short of awe-inspiring.
However, I owe you an apology. As I navigate this journey with you, I realize I haven't always made our activism as accessible as it should be.
I juggle with many responsibilities: writing posts, conducting research, responding to your emails and comments, creating graphics and calls-to-action, sending your messages to lawmakers, updating our website and blog, attending coalition meetings, reviewing and signing coalition statements, running events, and managing our social media channels. It’s a lot for one person, and sometimes things slip through the cracks.
People Power United operates without fundraising and has no staff. Our communication on issues that helps our communities relies on both you and me. In my attempt to wear many hats with limited resources, I haven’t clearly communicated how our tools can enhance your activism. Some members have expressed confusion about Substack, and I realize now that I need to do better in explaining how we communicate with our members.

Our newsletter blog is hosted on Substack, which requires you to subscribe when you first visit. Our blog is free and accessible to everyone, though we also offer a paid subscription option with additional benefits for those who choose to support our efforts. Accessibility remains our priority, ensuring all our content is freely available.
You can access Substack from your computer or via a mobile app—you can use either or both-whichever is more convenient for you.
On the Homepage
On our home page of the blog, you will find links to current articles as well as many issues you care about: Reproductive Freedom for All, Supreme Court Accountability, Gun Violence Prevention, Immigration Reform, LGTBQIA+ Rights are Human Rights, Healthcare, and Freedom Over Fascism. You can also search Archives for all issues or other topics you care about.

We can inspire voters and make a meaningful difference, one vote at a time.
Join us to learn more about our postcard and letter-writing-to-voters program. No supplies are needed. We will go over instructions and our current campaigns. We write postcards/and or letters to targeted voters to increase turnout in close, critical elections nationwide.
Then, we will take our campaigns into our neighborhoods by writing postcards and letters to voters with our family, friends, and other community members.
People Power United champions progressive values and power to the people. We are a group of people who believe in the possibility of change and work to make it happen. Join us to push for Freedom over Fascism!

Progressive Issues Activism
Whatever our color, background, or zip code, most believe everyone deserves to live their best life. In this community, we will always speak out against racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, antisemitism, homophobia, misogyny, sexism, ageism, ableism, sizeism, transphobia, misogynoir, elitism, and bigotry!
We can not wait until the next election cycle; we must act now to protect our democracy. Join us to learn how to defend our vote and voice in our democracy. Join us for our next meeting to discuss the issues, what's at stake, and how to propel action so everyone can vote and thrive.
We must also push for strong leaders on the local, state, and federal levels to protect our rights and freedoms and hold them accountable.
Lastly, we must invest in our communities. Today's investments in our children, seniors, workers, housing, healthcare, environment, safe neighborhoods, and other areas will strengthen our nation.
