Friends! We did it! Over 2,500 locations hosted millions of people this weekend to say: America doesn’t do kings. No major incidents—just peace-loving kids, seniors, pets, and everyday folks showing up for one another in small towns and big cities.
Throughout our nation’s history, whenever Americans have stood up for justice, they’ve prevailed against the odds. When Senator Bernie Sanders spoke at the recent NO KINGS rally, he reminded us:
When the Founders rose up against King George, they were told it was impossible. But they won.
When abolitionists demanded the end of slavery, they were told it was impossible. But they won.
When workers organized for fair wages and unions, they were told it was impossible. But they won.
When women fought for the right to vote, they were told it was impossible. But they won.
When Black Americans marched to end segregation, they were told it was impossible. But they won.
When LGBTQ+ Americans stood for their dignity, they were told it was impossible. But they won.
They did it then. We can and will do it now. Friendly reminder that liberty and justice for all is a work in progress — a daily act of love and advocacy that calls on us to speak out, show up, and build power to hold our leaders accountable to the will of the people.
Today, authoritarianism and fascist ideologies are rising around the world—and here at home. It’s easy to feel powerless, to think resistance belongs to politicians, influencers, or activists with large followings. But history proves the opposite: it’s ordinary people—neighbors, teachers, nurses, small business owners, parents—who have always been the backbone of freedom. It’s you and me. The fight for democracy isn’t just in the streets or the halls of power. It begins in our homes, workplaces, and with everyday choices. Here are everyday acts we can each take:
1. Stay Informed and Educate Others
Fascism feeds on ignorance and disinformation. The first act of resistance is awareness. Subscribe to credible news sources. Fact-check before sharing. Avoid echo chambers that twist truth into propaganda. Knowledge is power—and sharing it multiplies that power. When people understand how fascism operates, they’re less likely to fall for its lies. 2. Use Your Voice—Online and Offline
Silence is the oxygen of tyranny. Speak out—whether on social media, in letters to your local paper, or in conversations with friends. Amplify marginalized voices and challenge racist, sexist, or authoritarian rhetoric when you hear it. Courage is contagious; every time you speak up, you give someone else permission to do the same. 3. Support Pro-Democracy Organizations
Movements for justice rely on many hands. Join groups that fight voter suppression, defend civil liberties, or promote equality. Attend events. Share their work. 4. Vote—and Help Others Vote
Voting is an act of resistance. Register, show up, and cast your ballot in every election, not just the big ones. Volunteer for get-out-the-vote efforts or write letters encouraging others to participate. Democracy only thrives when we defend it together. 5. Live Your Values Boldly
Fascism depends on conformity and fear. Living your truth is itself an act of rebellion. Display a pride flag. Read banned books. Shop at businesses that align with your values. Speak up and show up when others are targeted. These small acts, multiplied across millions of people, form an unbreakable defense of freedom.
The fight against fascism isn’t abstract—it’s personal, local, and daily. Every signature, every conversation, every stand for justice matters. Together, we can make sure that the next generation of Americans inherits a country where freedom, equality, and democracy not only survive—but flourish.
Now is our time to rise. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.

Well by what I saw on the streets. millions of people, but Trump just laughed it off. But we will see who gets the last laugh, when he is in that witness chair.
Governor Pritzker from Illinois has repeatedly warned that Trump is planning to use ICE to confiscate ballots and voting machines if he sees himself in danger of losing the midterm elections. We need a strategy!
