The Dream Is Unfinished. We Rise to Finish the Work.
Friends,
As America marks its 250th anniversary, we are preparing to return to Washington with a message that could not be more urgent: the work of democracy, equality, and justice is unfinished, and it is our turn to carry it forward.
On Friday, August 28, 2026, people from across the country will gather at the Lincoln Memorial for the March on Washington: Defend the Vote, centered on three urgent priorities:
Voting Rights. Economic Dignity. Affordability.
We will gather to defend the vote, protect equal opportunity, demand economic dignity, and continue the unfinished work of building an America that lives up to its promise of liberty and justice for all.
And now, there is another way you can help us make this moment bigger.
🗽 Wear the Message. Help Us Mobilize.
We have created a new March on Washington shirt carrying the words:
MARCH ON WASHINGTON
THE DREAM IS UNFINISHED.
WE RISE TO FINISH THE WORK.

This is more than a shirt. It is a way to carry the message into your community while helping us reach more people and mobilize for August 28. Wear this shirt to the March on Washington, to rallies, voter registration events, community gatherings, or anywhere you want to make your values visible. It is a reminder that democracy only works when people participate, rights only endure when people defend them, and progress happens when ordinary people refuse to stay silent.
People Power United does zero fundraising. We have no outside funders. We rely on people-powered support, including purchases of items like this, to help us organize, mobilize, spread the word, and bring more people into this work.
A portion of the proceeds from shirt sales will also benefit the National Action Network and the Drum Major Institute, the main organizations convening the March on Washington. As a partner of the march we want to be good stewards and support their efforts. Your support will help us do that.

📣 Join the March on Washington
Convened by the National Action Network and the Drum Major Institute and co-chaired by Rev. Al Sharpton, Martin Luther King III, and Arndrea Waters King, the march marks the 63rd anniversary of the historic 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech.
But we are not gathering simply to remember history.
We are gathering to make it.

The people working to weaken our democracy are counting on us becoming exhausted, distracted, divided, or convinced that showing up does not matter.
We are going to prove them wrong.
This is our country. These are our communities. This is our democracy.
The dream is unfinished.
We rise to finish the work.
Together, we can defend our rights, freedoms, the rule of law, and democracy, hold leaders accountable to the people’s will, and inspire voters to make a meaningful difference.
People Power United champions freedom over fascism, progress over fear, and power to the people. We believe change is possible, and we do the work to make it happen. Join us to build people power.
