Tomorrow marks five years since George Floyd's life was stolen—a moment that shook the world and sparked a renewed movement for justice.
In some ways, we've marched forward. In others, the forces of racism and bigotry have dug in deeper. But if we truly want to honor George Floyd's memory, let it be through unwavering commitment to real change. Let it be through solidarity. Through people power. Through never giving up on a future rooted in justice, dignity, and humanity—for everyone.
Speaking of people power, I want to say how incredibly proud I am of what we've built together. We are a scrappy grassroots group that has grown to over 250,000 members in all 50 states and has managed to show up, speak out, and build momentum—all without a dime of fundraising. We are fueled by community. By heart. By each other.
In that spirit, I'm thrilled to share something new with you: our first People Power United music video.
It's far from polished, but it's full of purpose. This video is a love letter to our collective power, a reminder of what we've overcome, and a reminder that each of us is the hero of this story. The struggle for liberty and justice isn't just for the wealthy or powerful—it's ours to lead.
It is also a reminder of what People Power can accomplish, even when facing insurmountable odds. It is a call to action for us to use that power at a time when it is needed the most.
I've often said, "I wish we had a video that captured our spirit—something that could inspire, rally, and remind us just how powerful we truly are. One that lights a fire, lifts us up, and reminds us what we're capable of when we rise together." Well, I stopped wishing—and brought that vision to life.
So here it is. I hope it moves you. I hope it makes you feel proud to be part of this work. And I hope you'll help it ripple out into the world—with your likes, comments, hearts, shares, and most of all, your belief in the power of the people.
We are the ones we've been waiting for.
And we're just getting started.

But this moment isn't just about Trump—it's about all of us. If you're fed up with rising costs, civil liberties under assault, and daily attacks on our democracy, this is your moment to rise. Join us for No King's Day, a National Day of Action. Across the country, people will gather in streets, parks, rallies, and protests—showing up and speaking out. We'll declare in hundreds of cities and towns with one voice: Power belongs to the people. We rise not in fear but in solidarity, not for one man, but for all of us.

People Power United is a grassroots group rooted in action—and we’re reserving our communications for those who believe in the power of change and take steps to help make it happen.
If you’ve been commenting, sharing posts, signing petitions, sending letters, or attending events—you’re exactly who we want to stay connected with. If someone hasn’t participated in any way, they will be removed from our list.
There are two reasons for this:
Our mission is to make change happen, and that takes action—not just observation.
We’re being penalized by Substack, Google, and other email providers when recipients aren’t engaging. It affects our ability to reach those who do want to be involved. As a grassroots group that does zero fundraising, we need to be able to reach our members.
