Resist & Rising Together Weekly: Good News and Progress from the Resistance
Each week, Resist & Rising Together Weekly by People Power United delivers stories of courage, creativity, and collective power from people pushing back against fascism and building a better future. While authoritarians try to divide and silence us, weāre risingācommunity by community, action by actionāto defend democracy and demand justice.
This is where we celebrate progress: victories in the courts, wins for workers, breakthroughs in climate action, and moments when people everywhere stand up for freedom and fairness.
Because resistance isnāt just about fighting backāitās about moving forward. Together, we are writing the story of progress, one act of people power at a time.
Today, we honor the strength, resilience, and courage of the American peopleāthose rising together to reject tyranny and defend our democracy. Across the nation, millions are standing up to fascism, reminding the world that power in this country belongs to the people, not to kings, billionaires, or authoritarians. This movement is a declaration of unity, freedom, and defiance ā proof that when we stand together, we can stop the march of tyranny and build a nation rooted in justice and equality for all.

Thank you for everything you do. I appreciate you so much. In my small ways I am doing something. I am helping out in my community of Buffalo. We are having city elections here and I helped with postcards. Then I am an election adjuster and I will be working November 4. I am also checking the best way to donate to our food banks.
We also have to remember Trump simply does not have the manpower to execute all of his orders. There are many more of us resisting him. The cracks are beginning to show and Trump will not last much longer. His health is deteriorating quickly and with the anger and hate and evil in his heart, he will not be not long in this world. People who are so focused on hate destroy themselves from the inside out. Meanwhile the rest of us who are trying to do good for others will survive.
Thank you Laurie for the uplifting posts, as always. š©·. Especially love Portlandās powerful, positive persistence!
