The Washington Post Project 2025 ex-director condemns Heritage president's ‘violent rhetoric'

The former director of the right-wing policy and personnel blueprint known as Project 2025 is condemning what he sees as 'violent rhetoric' from Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts and calling on Republican vice-presidential nominee JD Vance to retract the foreword he wrote for Roberts's book.
'If we're going to ask the left to tone it down, we have to do our part as well,' Paul Dans, who led Project 2025 until July, said in an interview. 'There's no place for this sort of violent rhetoric and bellicose taunting, especially in light of the fact that President Trump has now been subject to not one but two assassination attempts.'

MOSLEY: As we heard, Trump was proud of appointing the Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade, but he's also repeatedly said that he's in favor of letting states determine abortion laws. And I was just wondering, if he were to become president, how that policy would work in tandem with Project 2025.
ZIEGLER: So Project 2025 outlines a plan to turn the Comstock Act, which is a 19th century obscenity law, into a ban on mailing any abortion-related item.

Trump’s Project 2025 Will Give Extreme MAGA Republicans Total Control
Donald Trump’s Project 2025 is a blatant power grab that aims to give extreme MAGA Republicans unchecked authority. They plan to use this power to criminalize abortion, undermine the middle class, and dismantle Social Security and Medicare.
Under Trump’s Project 2025, Republicans intend to impose a nationwide abortion ban and create a national registry to monitor women’s pregnancies and miscarriages. They even threaten to imprison doctors and nurses who provide essential care.
If enacted, Project 2025 would also gut the Affordable Care Act, leading to higher healthcare costs for everyone and a loss of protections for pre-existing conditions. Workers would lose their right to overtime pay, and middle-class families would face tax hikes—all while wealthy corporations receive new handouts.
Republicans' Project 2025 includes a detailed plan to dismantle Social Security and Medicare as we know them. This means slashing benefits for seniors and allowing Big Pharma to charge exorbitant prices for medication.
