📢 The Uproar of the American People Is Still Our Greatest Weapon
As Trump and Republicans fan the flames of chaos, Americans must rise to reclaim democracy. Together, we can rise, resist, and rebuild democracy.

Friends,
How dare they call themselves leaders when they are not leading?
Our nation is facing a multitude of crises, and neither President Trump nor Republicans in the House, led by Mike Johnson, are showing up to do the work. For more than six weeks, they’ve been absent — not governing, not negotiating, not serving the people — but creating chaos and chasing headlines on Fox News.
They’re acting like arsonists blaming the fire department.
Think about it: they set the house on fire, then stand outside screaming that it’s someone else’s fault. They hold the hose, they hold the keys, they control all three branches of government — and yet they wail that Democrats are being “so unfair” and blaming them for not putting out the fire.
Every prior administration and congressional leader before them has recognized that it is their duty to sit down, negotiate, and compromise to pass budgets and laws that keep America running. But this administration doesn’t want to put out the fire — they want to watch it burn. Because this isn’t about representing the American people anymore. It’s about control.
And that’s how democracies die — not in one big explosion, but through a series of small, deliberate acts that show little regard for the people, their welfare, or the rule of law — acts that push us closer to authoritarianism.
Friends, that’s not leadership. That’s authoritarianism disguised as power. And it’s up to us — the people — to stop it.
We have the power to hold our leaders accountable to the will of the people. Listen, I get it — Republicans and Democrats in Congress are disappointing, as is President Trump. And yes, they have power. But when 340 million people call their leaders, send letters, post messages on social media, send faxes, attend rallies and protests, and show up at their district offices or in D.C. to demand that they represent the will of the people — not just the wealthy or the powerful — don’t you think that would move the needle toward progress?
It’s my belief that thousands more children would have been ripped from their parents at the border had it not been for the outrage that filled America’s streets when Trump’s zero-tolerance policy came to light during his first presidency. The images of crying children in cages sparked one of the largest moral uprisings of his administration — and forced him to sign an executive order ending it.
It’s also my belief that thousands of families torn apart by Trump’s Muslim ban would still be stranded in airports across the world had it not been for the spontaneous protests that erupted in every major airport across America. The people showed up — lawyers, families, strangers — and they forced the courts to act.
This nation is at a crossroads — choosing between an authoritarian takeover and a path toward progress. (And yes, that includes leaving behind the “squishy” Democrats who vote time and again with Republicans to preserve their power.)
We, the people, can — and will — lead the way. Thirty-nine days of staying on the sidelines have yielded no results. Now is the time for us to rise together and meet what this moment demands.
🚨The Trump Administration demands that states ‘undo’ work to send full food stamps to low-income families
States are being threated with harsh financial penalties if they do not undo any food assistance provided to low-income families, children, seniors, veterans or folks that are sick or disabled that qualify for SNAP programs. — NY Times
Friendly reminder from our friends at Defend America Action:
For every meal food banks provide, SNAP provides nine, meaning food banks cannot possibly fill the gap Trump is creating
About two-thirds of Americans who receive food assistance are children and seniors, and about 1 in 8 U.S. residents and 1 in 5 kids could go hungry
Each dollar of food assistance generates $1.50 in economic activity, supports hundreds of thousands of jobs, and lifts 5 million Americans out of poverty each year
Urgent Calls to Action to Resist Project 2025:

Together, we can protect and empower those we love, champion our rights, freedoms, and democracy, hold our leaders accountable to the people’s will, and inspire voters to make a meaningful difference.

Yes. Do not let anyone tell you this is trivial. Just look at Trump's childish reaction to No Kings. He sees and so does everyone. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!!
