📢 The World Might Be Going Mad, But We Champion Peace, Progress, and Power to the People
🗽A well informed citizenry is the best defense against tyranny. Throughout history, Americans have faced corruption, injustice, and authoritarian overreach. And every time, we fought back.

The World Might Be Going Mad, But We Champion Peace, Progress, and Power to the People
Everywhere we look, it feels as though the world is being pulled into chaos. Division, fear, political violence, and authoritarianism threaten to consume our communities. But in the face of these storms, we remain steadfast. We are here to champion peace, progress, and power to the people. Ours is a movement grounded in hope, strengthened by resilience, and driven by the belief that ordinary people, united in dignity and justice, can overcome extraordinary challenges.
Honoring 9/11 and Building Peace Across Differences
As we reflect on September 11th, we remember the thousands of lives lost and the countless families forever changed. The memorial of 9/11 is not just a reminder of tragedy but also of the unity that briefly blossomed in its aftermath. Our communities came together—neighbors helping neighbors, strangers embracing one another, faith groups crossing divides. To honor that legacy, we must commit to deeper connections across lines of faith, race, religion, and country of origin. Never forget, it must not only mean remembering loss but also championing peace and working tirelessly to strengthen bonds that make our nation resilient against hate and division.

Dignity for All: The DHS Korean Case
Recent revelations in the DHS Korean case highlight systemic abuses and the dehumanization that too many immigrants endure. From family separation to racial profiling, we are reminded that dignity in America cannot only be reserved for those with power, wealth, or a preferred skin tone. Justice requires us to demand accountability and to protect the vulnerable. To stand for one community is to stand for all. We will not allow cruelty to become a normalized policy. We will continue to champion a nation where immigrants, refugees, and workers are respected as human beings, not treated as disposable.

Rejecting Trump's Domestic War in the NDAA
Now, we face a new battle. Yesterday, 17 Democrats and all but 4 Republicans —passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) in the House, a bill that opens the door to militarizing our neighborhoods.1 Congress must reject any version of the NDAA that empowers attacks on American cities and states. The fight moves to the Senate, where our voices must be louder than ever. Tell your senators: your tax dollars must never be used to send the military into our communities. Together, we must block Trump from deploying the military against us without the consent of our cities and states.

Ending Gun and Political Violence
Another tragedy we must confront is the epidemic of gun and political violence tearing through our nation. Too many families have been shattered by shootings in schools, churches, hospitals, grocery stores, and even at peaceful rallies where people gather to exercise their democratic rights. No one should live in fear of being slaughtered while learning, worshiping, seeking care, or lifting their voice in public.
A true democracy requires not just freedom of speech and assembly, but also the guarantee of safety.
We must demand common-sense solutions, reject extremism, and insist on communities built on dignity, peace, and care for one another—because life without fear is the foundation of liberty.

Choosing Progress Over Fear
The world may seem like it is going mad, but history teaches us that progress belongs to those who refuse to surrender.
Peace belongs to those who have the courage to build bridges instead of walls.
And power belongs to the people when we rise together, demand dignity, and hold our leaders accountable.
The task before us is not easy, but it is necessary. Let us honor the fallen by uniting across our differences. Let us defend the vulnerable by standing against cruelty and abuse. Let us protect our communities by rejecting militarization and insisting on democracy. And let us find the courage to continue championing peace, progress, and power to the people—where no force of fear can defeat us.
Thank you for taking action to champion peace, progress, and power to the people!
