I oppose the war against Iran and the action against Venezuela. Might does not mean right in these two situations. Diplomacy takes longer, it also decreases the possibility of death. I advocate, vote, and protest. and will continue to do so. We, the People, will overcome.
I'm pissed we have a system that prevents those in power from being held accountable for their criminal actions. This wake-up call to America will hopefully generate a movement for radical meaningful change. I will continue to make calls to my representatives, show up at protest, donate when I can and always VOTE. I will not give into fear or anger. I will continue to protect my 96 year old mother who can't believe what is happening. Power to the People!
I am horrified at the bombing of Iran, but grateful for all the people standing up at People Power to insist on better governance in the US.
My largest concern right now is about most of my family and friends. While disapproving of the war,, they are doing their best to go about their daily affairs and think about the horror of the war as little as possible, to avoid getting too upset by it.
My wife, for example, doesn’t want me to bring it up or discuss it, because she finds it too depressing!
But if we don’t talk about this and raise a stink, that just allows Trump and crew to continue down this path of destruction!
I’m 71 and I had hoped for real long term progress, but here we are. I feel sad, angry, tired and overwhelmed sometimes, but I’m hopeful, too. In fact, I’m convinced that we’ll prevail, but we will have to reconstruct our country better than it was on January 19, 2025. There is much difficulty still before us.
We’re in the fight of our lives; the fight of generations of Americans who have battled against a king, then slavery, unending racism, oligarchs, wars and patriarchy.
We must also continue to support Native peoples’ struggles and Mother Earth. It’s all one great tapestry of interconnected life.
We have to emphasize love, neighborliness, decency, demand quality healthcare, good food and good housing for all, and focus our rage nonviolently against the rotten class of oligarchs and traitors who would destroy everything.
Our passage to a better union will necessitate memorable tribunals that fully expose the criminality that got us to this point, and there must be severe punishment for those who have hurt us, created chaos and defrauded us.
I also am old and remember how we fought against Fascism; here we are again in our own beloved country, being faced with it coming from our President. This current war that is being waged is more attempt to divert us from wanting to know the whole truth about Trump's [and others] connection w/ the Epstein scandal. He's murdering innocent people to avoid the truth.
I am old and tired and sad at the state of our union. My grandfather fought in WWI and was wounded. He had a limp for the rest of his life. My Dad served in W
W 2. My uncle served in Korea. I love my country and it makes me sick to see who Trump and his Republican asslickers are doing to it.
WE NEED TO KEEP FIGHTING BACK. He needs to get the ???? OUT OF HERE LIKE NOW. The future generations need to have a fighting chance of a decent life. He is obviously so consumed with himself he thinks he is invincible. I think he would not help UKRAINE but help NETANYAHU that I believe he wants to annillate Pakistan just like Putin is trying to do to UKRAINE. I was not one bit surprised when he withdrew the funding established by the Biden administration. I learned during the Biden years how UKRAINE has been so strong in agriculture that UKRAINE has been exporting to the US products like matso balls enjoyed by our Jewish friends and neighbors. The amount was 3 MILLION A YEAR. When I read this is blew me away. What kills me is REPUBLICANS in congress get upset with TRUMP have the NUMBERS to impeach him, but then GIVE HIM WHAT HE WANTS. THIS IS HIPPOCRACY FOLKS.
