Traitors pose a danger to all of us

When lawmakers ignore their constituents and are exempted from the rule of law, we’re not being governed, we’re being ruled.
Sadly, MAGA Republicans in Congress have abandoned their responsibilities as representatives and become propagandists. Republican Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy’s first comment on Donald Trump’s Georgia indictment was merely, “Now a radical DA [District Attorney] in Georgia is following Biden’s lead by attacking President Trump and using it to fundraise her political career.”
The statement is not true and does not speak to the indictment. The indictment tells a straightforward story: Trump led a criminal conspiracy that included 18 co-defendants and 30 unindicted co-conspirators to commit fraud and illegally reverse the outcome of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. He did this knowing he had already lost the election, and he did this with willful disregard for the will of Georgia voters.
Speaker McCarthy’s decision to ignore the facts, disregard the people who worked on the two-year investigation, and disrespect the grand jury of everyday Americans in Georgia with his statements is shameful. But it goes further than that: he is actively spewing propaganda. His use of buzzword terms like the “radical DA” is simply another unconstructive Republican dog whistle strategy. Right-wing propagandists use this and other phrases (like “activist judges”, “critical race theory”, or “shariah law”) merely to stir up their conservative base, even though these words often have no factual relevance to the conversation at hand. Rather than debating policy and working on issues that the American people care about, propagandists use these terms to gain attention, and with it a perceived power.
We need leaders that lead. Neglecting constituents, throwing out buzzwords, and using dog whistles will not help our communities. We must come together and demand that anyone who aided, abetted or excused the MAGA criminal conspiracy be held accountable so we can make this a place where our leaders honor their oaths, and protect our country and our freedoms. Otherwise if we neglect our duties as everyday citizens to hold our leaders accountable then we are not being governed, we’re being ruled.

'People Power United'........this organization is like a BREATH OF FRESH AIR! 'The People' representing the people. We need to abolish (parties, private interest groups, the filibuster, the electoral college) & make the education of 'politics' mandatory in our schools so 'Americans' can intelligently vote. Our systems are divided & need to integrate in order for people to achieve balanced perspectives. CORRECTION now inevitably reigns bringing forth costly lessons long overdue.
