The Advertising is A CRUDE, RUDE, SEDITIOUS, STUPID, TOXIC SCAM!

How can we the people do something about the overwhelming influx of advertisements everywhere. On Social media, email or internet activity; tv even the news has become more advertising than program; some of it blatent scams, all of it disruptive and annoying. You can't do anything anymore without being bombarded with some kind of advertising pitch and I'm sick of it. Ad blockers don't work, even paid subscriptions don't stop it. I've quit using what I can and cut way back on computer and tv time, but it's everywhere . Frankly I think it's pretty crass to try and get people's money in a time when every penny counts and has a place to go. Those ads targeting children are especially alarming. I'd like to see a movement to somehow control advertising but don't know how to go about getting one going. Any thoughts or ideas?

Thank you for doing all you do Laurie. I will be going to the May day rally.

I would recommend that people sign up to be election officials. There are a number of areas in states that do not have many election officials. Yes the day is long but you are paid. It is also a way of making sure we have fair elections.

Why should there be billionaires? A few creative people achieve that rank through their performances, but most earn(?) billions manipulating stocks, bonds and now Crypto. Do any of those Personal Efforts do anything for society at large? What they do principally is twist laws and regulations to add to their portfolios.

DO YOU REALLY THINK BILLIONAIRES ARE GOING TO DO THE WORK OF WORKERS IF THE WORKERS WALK OFF THE JOB?

People deserve to be physically safe in their residential area. It is totally unacceptable that ICE physically assaults our residents without a warrant and without due process. This creates fear amongst residents.

No matter what issues you are trying to solve with another country, the answer is never a war. Imagine if I wanted a job and instead of studying for interviews, I waged a war on the CEO of the company! That does not work.

Why should we create a large economic gap between individuals? Would that not bring in tyranny from those that control the money at some point? Why not make IRS regulations such that no one is below a certain poverty line based on the state or city? How about not taxing anyone below an income of USD$100k and have reasonable slabs of taxes such as $100k-$200k 10%, $200k-$300k 20%, $300k-$500k 40%, above $500k 50% taxes? Economy should serve everyone, not create huge economic gaps between people. Everyone who works is putting in their life into their job. Our time is our life. Everyone deserves to be paid for their time. Time cannot be re-created. If every resident cannot afford basic necessities such as food, clothing, housing, healthcare in return for the time they put into their jobs, that is an unfair economic system. We built this economic system. Now we must replace it with a better one that will bring our wellbeing, not put billionaires' wellbeing before others'.

Nobody is asking them to pay more than their fair share, to pay the backbone of their companies (the working men/women) a living wage. Really how many houses do they need when the people who work 40hrs a week for them can’t afford to buy a house or rent an apartment? How many cars, vacations do you need when your workers can’t feed their families and take their kids to the doctor? Greed is not something to be proud of, you can’t take it either you!

Just how greedy are these filthy rich billionaires allowed to be? If they aren’t going to pay taxes in this country. Then they better find another one to accommodate them.
