I am not sure what you mean. You originally said you didn't want to sign because you do not want to give an address? Do you mean an email address? We understand! Unfortunately we are not able to forward to lawmakers without addresses/email addresses. Otherwise we would be accused of spamming.
It says street address. I did not want to give my street address. I put in my post office number and it went through so that is good. Maybe you guys should say mailing address? It’s OK sorry for the confusion.
Thanks for sharing. Sounds like Rep Kelly got what he wanted-do what he wants and not be held accountable. I don't send letters based on their response. I send because it's my responsibility as a community member. Lastly don't give up hope. We have booked meetings with some of these wayward lawmakers.
Thanks for sharing. I understand your reasons, but disagree. It is my belief, then, that by doing nothing, we are empowering and validating these corrupt politicians. We must hold our leaders accountable and continue to advocate for our rights and freedoms.
I appreciate the compliment. I too was frustrated and felt like I had no voice or chance of getting Rubio or Scott to listen. I did not cower, I did not give up. I started out with a few door knockers and people that believed we needed to hold our leaders accountable. At first people like Rubio never replied, eventually we got emails back, and eventually we got constituent meetings with staffers. My point is we can make excuses or we can make change. If we make excuses and allow these folks to get away with corruption, then we have enabled them. And I refuse to do that.
