People Power United responds to the Brown University shooting in Providence, condemning gun violence and recommitting to urgent action for safer, gun-violence-free communities.
Anyone who possesses critical thinking skills can read the Second Amendment and know that it DOES NOT guarantee the average American the right to own and carry lethal weapons! But the gun-nuts and their political party always leave out the part that says "in a well-regulated militia". The last I knew, every single American was NOT a member of a militia, and none of the "militias" extant are regulated at all, not to mention "well-regulated". Every civilized country on earth has laws against gun ownership, with a few exceptions, to go along with their universal health care, but "The Greatest Country on Earth" is completely backward in these areas, as well as Human-Caused Global Warming! We need to grow up and evolve!

No kidding we deserve to live free of gun violence.
