US judge nullifies Trump deal to resolve IRS lawsuit in scathing ruling - A federal judge voided a controversial settlement involving Trump and his sons, sanctioned lawyers, and said the case had been brought in bad faith to manipulate the judicial process. E. Jean Carroll receives millions owed by Trump after court releases damages
E. Jean Carroll received more than $5.6 million owed from her 2023 sexual abuse and defamation case after Trump’s legal efforts to block payment failed. This is a win for human and civil rights because it is a powerful accountability moment for survivors, showing that even the most powerful men can be held legally and financially responsible. Trump’s crackdown upended one immigrant’s life. This month he finally became a citizen - A Burmese immigrant in San Francisco became a U.S. citizen after a Trump-era processing freeze delayed his oath ceremony. His citizenship ceremony moved forward after a federal court struck down the policy and ordered processing to resume.
