Workers built this country. Not billionaires. Not hedge fund managers. Not corporate executives hiding wealth behind tax loopholes. Every day, ordinary people keep this nation alive. Teachers, nurses, drivers, warehouse workers, caregivers, service workers, and parents holding everything together create the value that powers this economy. Yet while working families struggle to afford rent, food, healthcare, and childcare, the ultra-rich keep stacking obscene fortunes on top of a system rigged in their favor.
That is not fairness. That is not freedom. That is greed protected by policy.
For decades, politicians have told working people there is no money for affordable housing, public schools, healthcare, elder care, or lower costs. But somehow there is always money for corporate giveaways, billionaire tax breaks, and policies that let the rich hoard even more. Families are expected to sacrifice. Workers are expected to be patient. Meanwhile, the ultra-rich buy another mansion, another private jet, another seat at the table where the rules get written.
Enough.
This is not about punishing success. It is about ending a system where wealth is built on public infrastructure, public labor, and public sacrifice, then hidden from public responsibility. No one earns billions in a vacuum. No one gets that rich without workers creating the wealth, communities absorbing the cost, and government helping make it possible. If working people pay taxes out of every paycheck, the ultra-rich can pay their fair share too.
Workers over billionaires means drawing a moral line. It means choosing schools over tax shelters, healthcare over loopholes, housing over hoarding, and democracy over oligarchy. It means refusing to accept a country where a handful of people hold more wealth than entire communities while millions live one emergency away from disaster.
The ultra-rich have taken enough. This country belongs to the people who make it run. We do not owe billionaires our silence while they rig the rules and raid the future. We owe each other courage, solidarity, and action.
