Happy Constitution Day!
Laurie, do I detect more giddiness?
You absolutely do!
Because this is another linchpin of people power.
Just two days ago, we celebrated National Voter Registration Day, a nationwide reminder that democracy depends on people participating. Today, September 17, we celebrate Constitution Day, marking the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787.
And I cannot think of a better week to remember what The People’s 250 is really about.
We are already one-quarter of the way through America’s 250th year, and these civic milestones remind us that America was never a finished project.
It has always been a work in progress.
The Constitution begins with three words that still carry enormous power:
We the People.
Not we the billionaires.
Not we the corporations.
Not we the politicians.
We the People.
But generations before us had to organize, march, vote, speak out, challenge injustice, amend laws, expand rights, and demand that those words include more and more of us.
They inherited an unfinished promise.
They carried it forward.
And eventually, they handed it to us.
Now it is our turn.
That is why National Voter Registration Day matters.
That is why Constitution Day matters.
And that is why America’s 250th must be about so much more than fireworks, flags, parades, and speeches.
These moments connect the same story.
Register. Participate. Organize. Protect our rights. Defend our democracy. Hold power accountable. Keep moving the promise forward.
Because the Constitution is not self-executing.
Democracy is not self-sustaining.
Freedom does not protect itself.
Every generation gets a turn at this work.
For nearly 250 years, people before us have pushed America closer to the promise of liberty, justice, equality, dignity, and government by the people.
They did not finish it.
Neither will we.
But we can move it forward.
We can protect what previous generations secured.
We can repair what remains unjust.
We can expand freedom for those who come after us.
And someday, we will hand this unfinished promise to another generation.
Let us make sure we hand them a democracy stronger, freer, fairer, and more representative than the one we inherited.
That is The People’s 250.
Not simply celebrating America as it is.
Honoring generations of people who worked to make it better.
Remembering the promise.
Accepting our responsibility.
And saying, together:
America belongs to all of us.
We the People are still writing the story.

We are we the people under Israeli rule and we must deal with this one single issue before we can move on. Organize & Boycott our government, bring it to its knees, No work, school or shopping, then demand, you will abide by our constitutional laws, no more foreign interventions (NONE), absolutely no more foreign aid, absolutely no AIPAC, any of those who had received AIPAC money must resign at the end of their term. Absolutely no Land own by foreigners, No media can be owned by foreign countries. No more military bases outside the US borders and cut back its budget to 1980 at 500 Billion. Then a complete audit for possible further cuts. The government belongs and works for the people, it's not the other way around people, We have aloud this charade to go on for far too long.
